The 32-ton half-gantry crane developed by CATET has been accepted and will be dispatched to Incheon Port in South Korea this week. This is another export equipment of CATET that meets the KCS certification standards of South Korea, highlighting CATET's international competitiveness in the field of lifting equipment.
This equipment is a custom-made model with a span of 22 meters. It adopts a double-beam structure and its lifting and running mechanisms comply with the EU FEM standards. Its integrated disc brake has a friction coefficient of 0.42-0.45 at normal temperature and can still maintain over 90% of the braking torque at -15℃, making it suitable for the climate in South Korea.
To meet the 1.6-fold structural safety factor requirement of KCS certification, the main beam has been optimized by finite element method, with a web thickness of 16mm and a 100% qualified rate of ultrasonic flaw detection for key welds. The South Korean purchaser stated that the performance of this equipment is 15% superior to that of similar European products, and the customization cycle has been shortened by 40%. The 2-hour after-sales response service guarantee provided by CATET is of vital importance to its shipyard expansion project.
